In May, a new color red was added along with Mini 6.
Since the red color was added, it has been very popular, and I am overwhelmed with emotion as I add it to the lineup.
You may be wondering why the new color was "red".
Someone please listen! The company president was also anxious to hear this, so I conducted a surprise interview within the company.

-This is a sudden change, but Mr. President, I would like to ask you to respond to an interview.
-Did you think about the color development in the first place?
I was considering the color itself.
The crowdfunding we launched through Makuake (hereinafter referred to as Kurafan) was a success, and we felt like we wanted to do something.
Initially, we were considering size development first, rather than color.
To talk a little bit about the production side, Clafan was started as a start-up fund.
After all, you can't start without funds.
If Kurafan had failed, we wouldn't have been able to launch the e-commerce site, and LETS would have disappeared (lol).
The goal achievement rate was 925%, which was much higher than expected, and thanks to everyone, we were able to achieve it, so we decided to produce notebooks one more time.

-I see. That's why the Mini 6 size was added to the lineup at the same time as the new color.

We've received a lot of requests for Mini 6, so we thought we'd respond to your support.
- So why was the new color red? Could you please tell me the reason?

- (laughs) You should try to make requests.
Even if the staff said they were pushing red, what was the reason for it really being red?
In manufacturing, it is important to have a stable supply of leather, and that was OK for red, so we started making samples.
Sometimes the colors I imagined are compatible with the LETS Clear System Notebook, so when I see the finished product, I sometimes think, ``Oh? That's not right?''
The sample I created made me think, ``This is cute,'' so I started producing it.
-By the way, why were the first colors brown and black?
The combination with PVC gave it a cute and natural look.
Black is because I'm a fan of black (lol)
If black isn't in the lineup, you'll wonder, "Why isn't there black?"
- (lol)
If you look at my Instagram, I think you'll understand that I'm a black fan.
-Many products have red leather with white sewing thread, but the sewing thread on LETS is also red. Is there a reason?
Our basic policy was to have them all in the same color.
What about thread when sewing? They let you choose from a lot of threads lined up.
I can choose any color and it's fun, so I want to play with other colors, but the colors I want and the colors I want are different, so I don't go on an adventure.
We have selected a color that is as close as possible to leather.
I feel that the thread is also very particular about the red color.
-Actually, the staff also thinks that the red sewing thread is a great point.

-Are red leather, black, and brown leather the same type? Did it become something else?

If other colors are released in the future, it may be made by a different tanner.
*What is tanner?
A worker or servant who tans animal hides and processes them into leather.
The state in which hair is attached is called skin, and it becomes leather when processed.
There are several different types of red, some dark red and some lighter. Why did you choose the current color?
After all, it is a color that can be stably supplied.
When it comes to imports from overseas, it's also due to the coronavirus pandemic, and I felt anxious because I didn't know when imports would stop, so I chose something that was domestically produced and could guarantee a stable supply.
This is because with the arrival of Krausebinder * , we were unable to obtain stable supplies, which caused us a lot of trouble.
There were days when I would go directly to stores and buy binders (lol).

I'm glad that my feeling of "Oh, it's cute" when I saw the sample didn't go away.

-So are you thinking of developing products targeting men in the future?
yes. I want to do what I can.
Since this is a start-up business, I can't say that it will be easy, but I would like to take on the challenge.

I have some thoughts about the increased use of red from other points of view, but the more vibrant colors on the e-commerce site are also a plus.
I'm releasing Pentaboric because I want to increase the vibrancy and variety of colors.
However, I feel like I can't go back after adding red.

-What do you mean?
I've always liked black and white and dark colors, so I was aiming for something stylish.
I feel like it turned out to be a colorful route, so I guess I was out of line with my favorite route (lol)
I now think that colorfulness was the right choice, but I think that if we had gone the black and white route, we would have had less trouble developing new product colors.
-By the way, do you have any plans for future color expansion for the LETS Clear System Notebook?
I'm thinking.
Before adding red to the lineup, we considered other colors.
Two colors: blue and green.
At the time we were considering colors, there were various financial situations and things going on...
- I see. That's the story behind the production.
Venture companies have to look at the funding side, so it is difficult to easily develop multiple options.
However, we have received requests for other colors, so we would like to try them out.
